About

A scientific life devoted to translational impact.

I am a translational cancer immunologist with more than 15 years of experience dedicated to understanding how the immune system can be harnessed to develop innovative therapies for cancer. My career has been driven by a single mission: to translate fundamental discoveries in immunology into transformative therapies that improve outcomes for patients.

I previously served as an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where I led independent and collaborative research programs focused on cancer immunotherapy, tumor microenvironment biology, inflammation, biomarker discovery, and translational drug development.

Throughout my career, I have collaborated with leading academic investigators, clinicians, and pharmaceutical partners, including 3M and Memgen, LLC, to translate scientific discoveries into therapies with clinical potential. My research has contributed to translational programs, informed clinical trial strategies, and resulted in two patents in the field of cancer immunotherapy.
